Crypto currencies have for the longest time been limited in their nature to the specific chains they were deployed to; but what if that was not the case?

Projects can of course deploy their code to each chain separately to gain access to more users. However, this brings the problems of supply being isolated to the respective chains, and each deployed instance of the contract being separated from the others.

Traditional bridging services that exist at the time of writing are slow and expensive. They do not actually solve the issue of isolated supply, but rather rely on a provided pool of tokens on each network to deposit and withdraw from, to simulate bridging.
